Home is where you make it
A house is a simple structure that protects the people that live in it from the environment's dangers such as storms, the sun, wild animals and it is a place to store valuable items to be protected from thieves. A house is just another man made structure built for himself; a building to be sheltered at. I would always remember of always wanting to get out of our own house, go out with friends, go to school or maybe even one day, own my own house. Well, now that there is that chance to do so, its not as easy as the way I pictured it. It is not easy to find the right house for you. You have to consider the location, the expenses you have to make, the neighborhood you have to be at and the community you have to be in. The biggest factor definitely has something to do with finance. The money you have to spend on the house, renting or owning one, the bills you have to consider, phone bills, electric bills and water bills, are just a little too much for an average Joe like me. Then theres the part for maintaining your house, cleaning and decorating, maintaining and fixing household materials and keeping your supplies. It is different for it will not be the same as your old house, it is not the same home. There it is, home. You spend your life struggling to get out of it, and spend the rest of it trying to get back to it or have your own, home. Well, what makes a house a home? A structure with four walls and a roof maybe a house, but is it a home? The phrase “home is where you make it” maybe right at some point, you go home to the same house you would after a days work, sleep in the same bed, and sit at the same couch. The place that contains all of your belongings and priced possessions. Some say that your family makes your house a home, and it does. But living alone doesn't mean that your house is not a home. A home is where you are comfortable at and a place where you are secured and safe. |
